Kristina Stevens is the Human Services Industry Strategy Lead in Accenture’s North America Public Sector Practice. She has 30 years of experience in child welfare and children’s behavioral health in both the public and private sectors, where she has served as social worker, clinician, consultant, director and deputy commissioner.
In her career, Kristina has delivered direct service, provided technical assistance on practice transformation efforts, designed and implemented effective and efficient service systems, and cultivated strong relationships with partners to shape and guide change initiatives. She has tackled important practice and system changes focused on improving the lives of children and families, including leading community readiness work to support Connecticut’s implementation of Differential Response; implementing a teaming continuum to reduce the number of children entering care; building a robust service system to increase access to community-based services that promote family preservation and reduce the need for higher levels of care; and introducing legislation to promote enhanced supports to infants born substance exposed.
