Group Chief Executive – Financial Services
Domingo Mirón is group operating officer for Financial Services, responsible for executing the business strategy and driving operational excellence across the operating group. He is a member of Accenture's Global Operations Council and Accenture’s Global Leadership Council.
Domingo has spent most of his career working with clients in the banking and insurance industries. Prior to assuming his current role, he led Accenture's Financial Services business in Spain, Portugal and Israel, helping clients adapt to changing regulations, the new digital ecosystem and an evolving customer profile. He was senior managing director—Growth & Strategy on Accenture's global Financial Services leadership team from 2011 to 2014. From 2009 to 2011, he led Accenture's Banking business in Europe, Africa and Latin America. He has also served as the client account lead for Banco Santander since 2008.
Domingo has played a key role in major projects for both Spanish and international financial services clients, spanning internationalization, process improvement and operating model design.
Domingo joined Accenture in 1989 and became a partner in 2000. Domingo has a degree in mathematics from Complutense University of Madrid and is a graduate of the Management Development Program at IESE Business School (University of Navarra).
*On July 1, 2019, Accenture announced that Domingo Mirón will become group chief executive—Financial Services on September 1, 2019, succeeding Richard Lumb, who will retire from the company on August 31, 2019.
