About Muqsit

Muqsit Ashraf leads Accenture’s Global Energy Industry practice. This sector, which is essential for human development and prosperity, faces massive disruption. As the industry seeks to concurrently solve for sustainability, availability, and competitiveness, companies need to reinvent and restructure their businesses. With 20+ years’ experience in this sector, Muqsit guides the vision and strategy of the practice, manages the client portfolio, and supports a network of alliance partners. He also serves on Accenture’s Global Leadership Council.

Muqsit has extensive experience across the energy value chain, advising and partnering with global energy leaders. He has worked with most of the large international and national oil companies, oil field and energy service companies, and independents. Among others, he has helped them redefine business strategy, lead large scale transformation programs, and drive innovation. He is recognized for his insight into the macro energy landscape, the potential future and reinvention of the industry, and the role of technology and innovation in enabling the industry transformation and growth.

He leads Accenture’s energy industry think tank relationships (World Economic Forum, World Energy Council), speaks regularly at major industry events, and is frequently quoted as expert source in leading publications.

He believes the future of the energy sector is not yet written, and is personally and professionally committed to helping to create a responsible, sustainable, and competitive energy future for clients and for the world.

Muqsit has a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, and a Master's in Business Administration from Yale University.
