Our Technical Architects are Generating the Next Wave of Technology Innovation

It’s an exciting time to be a technical architect at Accenture.

We’re combining business and industry insights with innovative technology services and the power of intelligent platforms like SAP, Oracle, Salesforce and Workday to transform businesses.

We are generating the next wave of innovative technology and delivering custom, end-to-end solutions for our clients using a cloud-first, digital-first mindset.

And we know how important it is to continually build the skills we need to grow our careers into the future. Accenture is home to more than 4,200 certified technology architects who are taking their tech careers to the next level through our unique, in-house and inclusive Master Technology Architect (MTA) Certification Program.

Meet four Accenture technical architects who are blending innovation, intelligence and deep industry experience to reinvent the world of business.

Clark Kho, Technical Architecture Science Associate Director

What I do: I am the lead Oracle Cloud Architect in Asia-Pacific and serve as the Oracle Cloud Technology Lead for Advanced Technology Centers in the Philippines.

Why I love my work: The best career decision I’ve made was taking on a global role focused on enabling new tech. I love working in technology, and even at this level I can still get my hands dirty and architect my own cloud environments.

Advice: The best piece of advice I’ve ever received? Fail early and often to succeed faster.

Eugenio Gil, Technical Architecture Science Associate Director

What I do: With a human-centered philosophy, I strive to find new ways to improve and enhance our clients’ lives by taking tasks off their plate that have no value.

Why I love my work: Working for Accenture opens many doors to the latest and greatest technologies. You can start your day working in your typical delivery project, and by noon you’re working on an artificial intelligence (AI) project.

Advice: Never think anything is beyond your reach.

James Novakoff, Technical Architecture Delivery Senior Manager

What I do: I design computer systems that help companies meet their customers’ needs—so companies can anticipate what their customers want to buy.

Why I love my work: I work on many exciting projects—but it’s not the projects that you work on that make things exciting. It’s the people you meet along the way, and what they can teach you.

Advice: Learn to be a good communicator. It’s not always easy, but it’s the most important thing you can do.

Heath Long, Business and Integration Technology Architect Senior Manager

What I do: I listen to our customers, challenge them to strike at the root of problems, provide high-level solutions as sketches, drill into detail as ideas evolve and propose solutions.

Why I love my work: Technology Architects operate in the space between IT and business. This means that on any given day, you can be head down, writing code with the developers or in a conference room with the CEO.

Advice: Be curious and empathetic. Take the time to live a day in the life of your customer.

Work on the cutting-edge of technology innovation. Find your fit with our technical architect team.
