Simon Eaves is the market unit lead for Accenture in the United Kingdom and Ireland (UKI) with responsibility for all industries and services in the area. UKI is Accenture's third largest market unit globally. Simon is a member of Accenture's Global Management Committee.
Before being named market unit lead, Simon was Accenture's chief strategy officer with responsibility for all aspects of the company's strategy and investments, including ventures and acquisitions. Prior to this role, Simon was group chief executive of Accenture's Products organization, serving clients in the consumer goods, retail and travel services; industrial; and life sciences industries. He previously led growth & strategy and global sales for Products, with responsibility for driving strategy, innovation and investments across the organization, as well as for its regional sales teams around the world. He has held a variety of leadership and client positions within the Products organization.
Simon first joined Accenture in London in 1996 and has since spent all but two years with the company, working with many clients in the retail and consumer goods sectors, including Boots, Reckitt Benckiser, SABMiller and Unilever. His roles included leading digital transformation across the enterprise, global zero-based budgeting, and implementing next-generation technology platforms. Between 1999 and 2001, Simon founded BuildOnline.com, an e-commerce site for Europe's construction industry, before rejoining Accenture. He also worked with Mobil Oil and Mars at the beginning of his career in roles across marketing, sales and R&D.
Simon was named managing director at Accenture in 2004. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from University College London, completed the Advanced Business Management Program at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, and has a Diploma in Accounting and Finance from the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants.
