Market Unit Lead – Japan

Dai Hamaoka is the Market Unit Lead for Accenture in Japan, he is also a member of Accenture’s Global Management Committee.

Throughout his 27-year career at Accenture, Hamaoka has consistently focused on maximizing client outcomes and value. Through deep dialogue with CEOs, he has gained precise insights into their management challenges. As a Client Account Lead, he has successfully driven numerous reinvention projects by leveraging Accenture’s broad range of capabilities—strategy, consulting, technology, managed services, as well as offerings such as SONG and Industry X—combining them seamlessly to deliver enterprise-wide reinvention initiatives.

His areas of expertise lie in strategy consulting and business consulting, with a particular focus on sales and marketing. Over time, he has expanded his specialization to core domains of corporate management, including business strategy, supply chain, finance and accounting, and human resources and organizational design, building deep knowledge across a wide range of fields. Leveraging this expertise and experience, he has remained firmly committed to delivering return on investment, consistently driving end-to-end transformation—from strategy and vision through to execution and tangible results—to support clients’ sustainable growth. Hamaoka has charted pathways for strategic alliances that transcend organizational and national boundaries, turning these into measurable outcomes for clients across diverse industries worldwide.

Prior to his appointment as Market Unit Lead, Hamaoka served as lead of the Strategy & Consulting in Japan. With a focus on driving business growth and profitability for clients, he actively promoted the development of innovative services while delivering rapid and highly effective solutions to complex and advanced challenges for a broad range of clients—from private enterprises to government agencies.
