Data Science Manager
"We brought awareness to the issue of human trafficking and showed the impact of technology when leveraging it the right way."
As a Data Science Manager, I work on data science and analytics projects for our communications, media, and technology clients, helping solve business problems with data-driven solutions.
We recently partnered with the Global Emancipation Network (GEN); Splunk, provider of the Data-to-Everything™ Platform; and technology partner Graphistry to develop machine-learning-based Artemis, the world's first human trafficking content classifier. We applied cutting-edge data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) to improve GEN’s infiltration and exposure of trafficking networks.
In my role, I collaborated with Splunk and our ecosystem partner and our Accenture team to transform data, ideate, experiment and build the solution in an agile and iterative manner.
The project was a great success—we were able to bring awareness to the issue of human trafficking and show how impactful technology can be when leveraging it in the right way.
My team included Managing Director and Lead – Applied Intelligence Network & Programs Arnab Chakraborty, who helped sponsor and champion the project; and Managing Director - Applied Intelligence Monark Vyas, who served as the project lead.
