What I do

My expertise is initiating data-driven analytics from the back office to help drive health care payers develop new lines of business and save costs.

I use my entrepreneurial skills and business acumen when working with either existing or new clients. My recommendations are based on insights from data and analytics, which help identify operational inefficiencies. Together with my clients, we develop a course of action to realize measurable value. For example, lowering administrative and medical costs ensures the client stays current with industry trends while still delivering top-notch, competitive and affordable products to their customers.

A day in my life

There are new challenges every day, so I make sure that I’m always accessible to every client I’m working with. That’s important because it requires staying on top of their respective phases of transition. It also means that I keep up with health care policies that affect payer providers and their ability to cut costs. This can be challenging to find the time to fit everything in, so juggling priorities is a daily reality.

For example, I worked with a health care payer client for three years to help restructure their business model in order to comply with the Affordable Care Act. I helped prioritize which lines of business needed to make immediate changes, which required new talent or skills sets and what technology was appropriate to implement.

We found savings and developed a strategy to reinvest into different lines of their business. They increased their profitability exponentially and are still operating from the roadmap we developed.

My advice

Meeting the client’s goals should always be top of mind because it sets the tone and platform. I bring a lot of enthusiasm to each project, and clients respond favorably because they know I take an all-in approach. Giving my all helps me stay engaged, increases my knowledge about different things, and allows me the opportunity to make a difference in how people receive quality health care.
