How I put change in motion

I’m an HR Program and Operations Analyst and am currently in my third rotation assignment in the Talent Accelerator Programme (TAP). I have a variety of responsibilities, including advising employees on performance areas for growth, career development, building specialties, setting goals and navigating the Accenture ecosystem.

I’m also working with business leadership to gain an accurate view of talent supply pools and talent demand. I devote time to help resolve challenges and identify suitable assignments for employees in line with their preferences and skills.

My TAP experience

After earning a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Surrey, Accenture’s HR Talent Accelerator Programme presented me with every opportunity I could have hoped for in a graduate program. I’m building modern HR skills in a leading global organization and already working on change activities for various client organizations. The program gives you a chance to shine and to learn what it really means to be an HR leader.

I’ve especially enjoyed the four months I spent on issues surrounding talent supply and talent demand. I was able to gain a holistic view of our supply and demand processes while partnering with leaders in our business and understanding the experiences of our people.

The programme empowers me to innovate in everything I do. It’s a testament to Accenture's culture that I feel open to bring new ideas to the table and share my point of view. On-the-job learning really does accelerate the development of strong HR skillsets.

A day in my life

A typical day begins with a huddle meeting with my team to discuss priorities and flag any concerns. Then it's time to review and respond to emails and connect with key stakeholders at every level to review our goals and progress.

Then there's a chance for “side-of-desk” work outside my regular activities. For example, I spend time working on projects in my role as inclusion and diversity lead for our UK HR Engagement Network.
