Joe Donahue is a managing director with Accenture’s Life Sciences, and Applied R&D Services business where he leads Accenture’s global life sciences research practice. Mr. Donahue has more than twenty-five years of executive level entrepreneurial and Board experience in global life sciences and technology companies and private equity firms. Prior to joining Accenture, his roles included Senior Vice President at BioReference Laboratories / GeneDx, the third largest diagnostics testing laboratory in the world, Senior Vice President Life Sciences with Thomson Reuters Intellectual Property & Science, as well as leadership positions in, or as a Board member, to several early-stage life sciences research, informatics and analytics companies. He has degrees in Medicinal Chemistry and Computer Science from Villanova University in Villanova, PA.
Jens Hoefkens is a Principal Director in Accenture’s global Accelerated R&D Services group. He is responsible for the strategy of Accenture’s Research Life Sciences Cloud (RLSC) and directs the platform’s product management group. In addition, he manages partner relationships with Accenture Research Life Sciences Cloud.
Working in Life Sciences his entire career, Jens has a broad background in pharmaceutical research, translational medicine, and pre-clinical development. He has been working with world-leading pharma, biotech, and agriculture companies and academic research centers and has been responsibility for a wide-ranging portfolio of successful enterprise informatics solutions, including Genedata Expressionist, PerkinElmer Signals, and TIBCO Spotfire.
Jens holds a dual major Ph.D. in Mathematics and Physics from Michigan State University. He lives in the Boston area with his wife and two children.
Anthony Sokolnicki is a Sr. Principal in Accenture’s global Accelerated R&D Services group. He is responsible for driving technology and platform strategy and offerings across life sciences. Anthony is currently the lead architect for the Accenture Research Life Sciences Cloud platform, responsible for driving the technology strategy and vision for the capability.
Anthony has worked with leading-edge technologies throughout his career. Previously he was part of Accenture’s Technology Labs where he focused on technology innovation applied to industries ranging from financial services to resource management. Anthony has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington and a MBA from the University of Oklahoma with an emphasis in MIS and Finance.
