I’ve been in Chicago for the last three years, but from 2006 to 2015 I was in Argentina, so it is great to be able to speak Spanish and English throughout the day (and I can sometimes try my “rustic Portuguese”). And when I’m working remotely, the technology we have at hand is a great plus.
The most exciting project I’ve worked on is the Accenture S4/HANA implementation. It was the biggest—and most challenging—thing we have done in SAP since we went live with it in 2004. We had to figure out how to translate our code into a new system without impacting our business process, with different rules, which many times required creative technical solutions to avoid a no-go for the entire project. It was more than 200 brains working toward the same immediate objective, giving their best to make a successful implementation.
Having the chance to work with people from all over the world with different cultures, backgrounds and points of view is amazing. I’ve been with Accenture for 12-plus years and I have made so many friends along the way, people who look after you and genuinely care about you and your career.
In my spare time, I love traveling, taking road trips and trying new restaurants with my wife. I also enjoy playing guitar; I’m pretty bad at it, but it gives me so much peace and happiness. I also like building Legos and playing fetch with my two cats, who have basically been trained as dogs.
