As a Technology Manager, I use cutting-edge technology like SAP to implement systems that help companies buy the supplies they need to produce goods or provide services. SAP typically integrates with many other systems, which means our success is dependent on every part of the team succeeding.
I recently served as project manager to help design and build a $70 million SAP customer information system for a southern U.S. utility company—a project that helped fuel my entrepreneurial spirit. We built a team of over 240 people across four vendor partners and created a collaborative project plan for all the teams—including technical architecture, testing, security, customer journeys, robotic process automation (RPA) and application development—to work together for a successful implementation.
I’m now working on a special assignment as the North America Technology Co-Lead on Project Elevate, which explores and executes solutions to make Accenture the best place for Black/African American and Hispanic American/Latinx people interested in technology work. We’re focused on building long-lasting relationships within these communities, recruiting new diverse faces and cultivating a culture where they can have a sense of belonging and show up as their authentic selves, every day.
It is truly inspiring to dedicate time to building the next generation of tech leaders. I love demystifying the work we do with clients for the next generation of Accenture leaders, educating current team members on emerging tech trends and providing opportunities for our people to sow seeds in their community and inspire future technologists.
