"I unleash my entrepreneurial spirit by delivering disruptive solutions through advancements like blockchain."
What I do
As a Managing Director within Supply Chain, I work with the leadership teams at some of the largest companies in the world. It’s my job to help them think through their business strategy, and develop plans to implement their vision. The secret is to turn the complex into the simple, so solutions are fully actionable and create shareholder value.
With our entrepreneurial culture, I feel like I’ve been building my own company for years. I’m learning about the latest technologies, such as blockchain and quantum computing, which are crucial in my branch of Accenture Strategy as I incorporate them into Intelligent Supply Chain offerings. And I work on some truly mind-boggling projects. I’m currently helping a leading $30 billion high-tech company realize a three-year strategic vision.
Every day, I face new challenges and work with different groups of people to solve them. There’s certainly no danger of going stale while working in Accenture Strategy!
I’m an early bird; I get to the office at about 7 a.m., outline the tasks for the day and make sure we’re on track. The rest of the day will be spent in internal and client meetings. The great thing about working at a high-tech company is that we can hold video conference calls with teams around the world, which means you can solve problems more smoothly and quickly.
After traveling to the client site during the week, I’m back at my office base on Fridays. I’ll catch up with our blockchain and Intelligent Supply Chain communities and meet with my counselees, mentors and mentees.
In my spare time, I’m passionate about music and have taught myself the guitar and piano. Chicago weather permitting on a Sunday, I might have an invigorating bike ride with my wife to the north suburbs for breakfast.

If you’re thinking of a consulting career, reach out to people who are in the job. Find out what they do day-to-day, build relationships—it’s the best way to learn. Before I started, I spent six years connecting with someone I originally met at a careers fair.
Be proactive and harness the entrepreneurial spirit of the company to pursue your passion. Pay attention to detail and strive for the best quality output of work.
