Data Architecture Manager (Accenture LLP; Chicago, IL): Accenture LLP has multiple openings for the position of Data Architecture Manager in Chicago, IL to design and build scalable data transformation and data consumption solutions. S/he will assess, plan, implement and/or support world-class application solutions for Accenture or clients, spanning simple IT projects to large-scale, enterprise-level change programs; conduct application architecture assessments and define solutions for complex problems that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors; oversee the configuration and build of the application solutions or technology components and classes; design, customize, develop, and execute technical resources for methods, procedures, and standards using commercial and Accenture's proprietary tools to build infrastructure and application components; provide the project's technical conscience, defining and driving the right solution to meet technical performance, scalability, flexibility, operations, and capability needs; manage onshore and offshore resources, distribute responsibilities across team members, and report on status for assigned scope of work to client stakeholders; meet and interact with our clients' application owners and infrastructure support personnel to communicate activities comprising implementation plans, and ensure the configuration and custom components meet application requirements and performance goals.
This position requires at least a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering (any), or in a closely related field. The position also requires 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as a Team Lead, Software Engineer, Programmer Analyst or in a related IT position, including the following professional experience: 5 years of experience in utilizing SQL (Structured Query Language) for programming and design of managed structured data; 5 years of experience in creating data models including robust data definitions, entity-relationship-attribute models, as well as relational models; 5 years of experience in developing strategies for data acquisition, archive recovery, and enterprise level database implementation; 5 years of experience in developing and building comprehensive data validation and error processes; 5 years of experience in creating, designing, deploying, and supporting software development processes; 5 years of experience in managing software development projects with Agile Project Management; and 5 years of experience in configuration management to establish and maintain consistency of a product's performance, functional, and physical attributes, and, managing, planning, scheduling, and controlling a software build through different stages and environments.
Positions are based in Chicago, IL but require domestic travel up to 20% of an average work week.
Telecommuting is permitted for this role, needs to reside within a reasonable commuting distance from the assigned Accenture office.
