This role is part of Accenture’s Sustainable Value Chain practice which helps our clients to embed sustainability into every stage of the value chain to deliver trusted, net-zero and circular value chains. We use data-driven tools, frameworks and insights to enable organizations to deliver lasting value and impact. We harness the power of technology to amplify human ingenuity in seeking solutions that deliver across the entire enterprise and ESG Agenda.  Our rapidly growing practice is looking for motivated individuals passionate about understanding how sustainability impacts organizations, their leadership teams, their operations, and overall performance to enable a more resilient future. 

The work:

How can we trace down products to their origin and empower suppliers for sustainable performance? In this role, you can help our clients achieve this by:

  • Leading engagements to help clients design, develop and implement traceability into their engineering and manufacturing functions to allow for improved ESG performance

  • Supporting development of though leadership on how traceability drives understanding and from there allows for improved ESG performance, both in client organizations and across end to end value chains.

  • Shaping solutions through assessments, strategy and performance management, operating model design, evaluation of enabling technologies, and product strategy.

  • Supporting knowledge building efforts such as developing offerings, assets, capabilities, and relevant thought leadership, insights and engage with the wider Sustainability community across Accenture globally

  • Joining high performing multidisciplinary teams to shape & deliver innovation solutions, while providing knowledge sharing with people in the broader organization.



Qualifications

Here’s what you will need

  • Minimum of 5 years (Manager) / 7 years (Senior Manager) of relevant experience with embedding traceability requirements into product design, engineering supply chains and manufacturing.

  • Prior experience in area of building E2E Supply Chain based on principles of Trusted and Transparency covering:

    • Experience of working with certifying agencies & key ESG organizations across different sectors such as Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), Certified Sustainable Palm Oil (CSPO), Oxfam etc.

    • Deep nuanced understanding of addressing labor & manpower related ESG challenges in Supply Chain such as HSE, Fair wages, child labor etc.

    • Understanding and application of Traceability methods (e.g. digital, material, physical)

    • Exposure to technology led solutions built on blockchain, digital watermarks, material DNA etc. to bring implementation roadmap to market

    • Engaging with suppliers and other value chain stakeholders

    • Innovations such as engaging startups and financial instruments to incentivize change

  • Strong industry visibility with published thought leadership articles, blogs, posts etc.

  • Expertise in key industries / sectors such as Consumer Goods & Services, Automotive, Metals, Chemicals, Agriculture.

  • Proven experience with qualitative analysis, research, and business case development

  • Strong network of relationships

  • Leadership of diverse teams in complex and ambiguous strategy engagements

  • Comfort leading presentations and facilitating workshops with large audiences

As required by Colorado law under the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, Accenture provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is 119,880 - 288,500 and information on benefits offered is here.
