You are: 

A digital expert who helps organizations use technology to make things quicker, economical, and more useful. You’ve got in-depth know-how to drive the delivery of technical solutions across various industries. You are as good with people as you are with project solutions. You are able to drive technology tool selections and communicate the capabilities and benefits of these solutions to the C-suite. A team player with an eye to the future, a finger on the pulse of industry trends, and the know-how to help clients transform their business.

The Work: 

In your role within our Industry X team, you’ll work within our Engineering & Manufacturing practice, supporting digital transformation for capital projects, engineering, and manufacturing across industries. 

As an Industry X Capital Projects Solution Architect, you will:

  • Analyze clients' strategy, operating vision, business needs and capabilities, develop a digital strategy and roadmap, and find the right solutions to help them plan and execute their capital projects successfully

  • Conduct fit-gap analysis and scope and architect data-driven solutions that will meet functional and technical requirements, be intuitive and foster data sharing while elevating insights and create intelligence across functions and disciplines throughout the enterprise

  • Help clients hit their targets by using capital project solutions (for engineering and data management) to design changes to the organization, its processes or practices 

  • Help clients understand how to transform their companies by giving them information on key industry challenges and trends, especially as it related to modern architectures and platforms, best practices, engineering data management, and security

  • Show clients how digital technologies can transform capital projects in ways that benefit the business  

  • Help Accenture develop assets, offerings, proposals to drive sales, market differentiation and profitability.

  • Identify strategies for growth and value creation within Industry X and for our clients

  • Interacts with senior management levels at a client and within Industry X, which involves negotiating or influencing on significant matters

  • Trusted advisors to our clients and create strategies and plans that define how technology should be utilized to enable an organization's overall business strategy 

  • Become a champion of Industry X integrated workforce solutions, tools, and platforms

  • Transform organizations to digital processes and tools

  • Applies knowledge of leading practices to define how technology will shape the overall strategy, governance, organization structure and staffing, architecture and processes to maximize the impact of technology for our clients

  • Maintains knowledge of evolving trends in technology and applies those to develop innovative approaches to deliver value for our clients

  • Identifies the most important client technology issues and maximize business value by conducting rigorous analyses and developing strategic roadmaps

  • Build relationships with ecosystem partners, clients, stakeholders

  • Leverages personal and collective team subject matter expertise to drive leading practices-based outcomes

  • Recruit, train, and mentor junior professionals within Industry X

  • Assist and collaborate with Industry X leaders to prepare RFP responses, pricing and budgetary proposals

  • Manages large teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual or contributor role) at a client or within Industry X

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills

  • Willingness to maintain a flexible travel schedule subject to updated COVID travel rules


Here’s what you need: 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a business, engineering, data analytics, or technology related field, or 10 years professional work experience in a related field 

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the engineering and construction industry working with capital project management, engineering, and construction solutions

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a digital solutions architect

  • Experience in at least 1 of these industries: 

    • 5G/Telecomm/Network design/buildout

    • Life Sciences

    • Oil & Gas

    • Renewables/Hydrogen

    • Utilities

    • Discrete Manufacturing

  • In depth understanding of capital project execution systems such as Project Portfolio Management, Engineering Data Management, or Construction solutions

  • Knowledge of the software delivery lifecycle and agile methodologies

  • Know-how in one or more Capital Project, Engineering Management and Analytics solutions: Azure or AWS, Oracle Primavera, Hexagon, e-Builder, Procore, Autodesk, AVEVA, Copperleaf, PowerBI and Tableau, Systems integration and enterprise architecture

Bonus points if: 

  • You have industry certifications such as CCM, CCE, PSP, EVM, PE, PMP, AIA, or QS 

  • You’re happy developing solutions with clients and partners  

  • You have prior experience working with overseas teams

  • You have 5+ years of relevant consulting experience

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Accenture provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is 119,000-170,000 USD.
