Application Development Manager (Accenture LLP; Minneapolis, MN): Accenture LLP has multiple openings for the position of Application Development Manager in Minneapolis, MN who would be responsible for the management of design, development, review and support of Enterprise Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence platform using Teradata, Google Cloud Platform and Technologies like Big Query, Dataflow, Data Studio, and Business Intelligence tools like Power BI and Business Objects. S/he will perform the following duties: assess, design, implement, and/or support world-class information technology data architectures for Accenture or our clients, spanning simple IT projects to large-scale, enterprise-level Datawarehouse or data lake programs; conduct data architecture assessments and define solutions for complex problems that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors; design, build, deliver, and run the Datawarehouse platform’s, and/or product’s required architecture (i.e. development, operations, execution, data, and application); design develop SQL based components, Teradata and Informatica workflows/mappings to store, locate and transform data; ensure the consistency and maintainability of existing Teradata applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions; develop application and component strategy in line with the business strategy for one or more programs; provide technical expertise and guidance to production support staff; gather requirements from Business & Architects to understand the requirements & scope; provide the work’s technical conscience by defining and driving the right solution to meet the technical performance, scalability, flexibility, operations, and capability needs; oversee medium sized teams and/or efforts; triaging the defects caused in existing system functions in the Enterprise Datawarehouse and Data Platform applications and analyzing the plan in getting fixed once the issue is found; perform application monitoring, application health checks, job monitoring, running the batch cycles, data health checks; adhere to strategic direction set by senior management when establishing near-term goals; act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments and make decisions that will be implemented by the team; design and ensure that technology standards are followed and evolve over time; provide architecture Quality Assurance reviews for proposals and ongoing engagements; co-ordinate with offshore for Design, Build and Delivery; closely work with Data modelers to design the Data Modeling; build and leverage reusable code and libraries for future use on Teradata and Google Cloud Platform; partner with the testing team to ensure applications/components are fully functional; oversee and fix any defects or performance problems discovered in testing and actively involved in capacity planning for the application to ensure the Holiday performance volumes and readiness for the client.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires at least a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering (any), or in a closely related field. The position also requires 5 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate and professional experience as a Software Engineer or in a related IT position including the following professional experience: 3 years of experience designing and implementing Enterprise Datawarehouse and Business Intelligence solutions for Digital and Technology organizations; 3 years of experience in application development, performing Extract, Transform and Loading utilizing Data Integration Tools and Technologies like Teradata; 2 years of experience in customizing Teradata applications with various database connectors, and Teradata utilities; 2 years of experience in designing and developing in at least one Reporting and Business Intelligence tool or Power BI to provide various key metrics, performance indicators, slicing and dicing capabilities, or real time metrics to business users; 2 years of experience implementing migration of on premise Datawarehouse and Business Intelligence applications to Cloud hosted solutions; 2 years of experience designing and developing data platform on Google Cloud Platform leveraging BigQuery.
