In Accenture Technology, the Ecosystem, Partnerships & Sales organization develops emerging and principal partnerships that enable transformational journeys for Accenture and our clients to reinvent their businesses. The Partner Innovation group drives profitable growth for Accenture by helping clients accelerate their businesses through high impact, differentiated market opportunities and harnessing the value of our ecosystem partners.  The Ecosystem Supplier Management group orchestrates and governs Accenture’s end-to-end technology “buy-side” priorities, internal consumption and overall spend management with the firms most strategic technology ecosystem suppliers. And the Ecosystem Sales group helps clients purchase the right ecosystem products & services for Accenture engagements and leverages insights from thousands of engagements to accurately scope solutions, offer differentiated commercial constructs, and lower project risks.

Our Ecosystem Supplier Management practice works to assess, formalize, and govern relationships with key strategic 3rd party IT suppliers in order to uncover and realize new value while reducing risk to Accenture and our clients. We support Relationship Managers in utilizing industry or domain experience to deliver business value on a repeatable basis to clients, and deliver strategic business insights, aids decision-making to maximize client operations or uncover opportunities to grow revenue to reduce costs. We utilize a broad set of analytical tools to recommend and implement improvements and communicate with both stakeholders and strategic partners.

The Work: 

  • Identify and manage supplier escalated issues and risks
  • Verify the supplier conforms to contractual expectations and manage performance
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers to develop a negotiating strategy
  • Work with stakeholders and suppliers to identify upcoming license/maintenance renewal dates
  • Work with stakeholder to understand organization needs/strategy
  • Ensure appropriate coordination among stakeholder and P+ when executing the supplier management process for a given supplier
  • Work with stakeholder and supplier to gather requirements for the supplier(s)Work with Supplier Lead
  • Negotiator to ensure appropriate level of understanding of stakeholder need and supplier relationship
  • Coordinate drafting of the contract working with the Stakeholder, P+ and Legal Contact
  • Understand overall licensing situation with supplier (e.g., # of licenses, # used...)
  • Inform customers/stakeholders/suppliers on all relevant decisions on the supplier relationship & contract
  • Research and assess industry trends & potential supplier(s)
  • Manage supplier communications and documentation
  • Manage changes to Master contract and Amendments (scope, new offerings from the supplier)
  • Create Performance Improvement Plan, if necessary
  • Assess need to replace or terminate supplier(s) and create/execute Transition Plan, if necessary
  • Drive relationship management activities such as business reviews, 360 reviews, and contract term negotiations.

For now, all Accenture business travel, international and domestic, is currently restricted to client-essential sales/delivery activity only.

Qualifications

Here’s what you Need:

  • 4+ years of experience working with third-party IT suppliers
  • Familiar driving vendor selection, negotiations, pricing strategies, commercials and contracting and overarching governance
  • 4+ years of experience in market intelligence, spend analysis, or business model strategy
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate’s Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)

As required by Colorado law under the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $56,484 - $129,800 and information on benefits offered is here.
