The Utility Revenue & Billing Specialist performs the activities related to the utility billing division, including root-cause analysis, transactional support, and providing technical and customer service support for daily operations, accurate billing and maintenance of utility billing records.
This role is a specialist position whose work performed requires the application of professional knowledge and expertise as well as established guidelines and alternatives to determine facts, analyze problems and make decisions. Incumbents operate independently and make decisions without immediate review and select appropriate methods to accomplish project assignments.
- Provides customer support for daily operations, including resolving customer billing inquiries and problems, calculating and preparing billing adjustments, and providing back-up support to utility billing staff.
- Develops and manages customer service support needs including technology adjustments/customization
- Performs special analyses to identify billing exceptions and accounts aging reports.
- Coordinates activities and operations with other utilities personnel and supervisors regarding issues affecting the services provided and billed to the customers.
- Oversees and ensures the proper functioning of the utility billing system and contracted vendors who collect and process payments.
- Develops short- and long-range plans for the client, including assisting with developing and implementing new or revised accounting systems, guidelines and procedures.
This role will require 50% annual travel in the future. For now, all Accenture business travel, international and domestic, is currently restricted to client-essential sales/delivery activity only.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounting
Minimum of 3 years of Utility (electricity) experience in Billing & Revenue experience with Billing & Revenue Assurance (either B2C or B2B)
Experience with SAP IS-U (ECC) as key Utility CIS
As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Accenture provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $90,288-$148,900 and information on benefits offered is here.
