Business Strategy Senior Manager – Houston, TX

Job Description:

Accenture LLP has multiple openings for the position of  Business Strategy Senior Manager in Houston, TX to oversee a variety of management consulting engagements and supervise engagement teams on technical programming projects. S/he will perform the following duties: oversee projects focusing on the upstream oil and gas clients; solve complex operational and business challenges such as increasing production, reducing downtime, improving costs and identifying innovative strategies to grow revenue; oversee senior client team members and their teams; report to the Managing Directors regarding the progress of assigned consulting engagements; guide personal professional development through structured governance models;  design and structure complex consulting engagements delivering high quality output; work closely with client teams to drive the issue-identification and problem-structuring phase; co-develop solution approaches; utilize production operations software; develop and oversee team work plans daily; handle day-to-day interaction with clients; perform quality checks on his team’s end products; track projects’ progress against designated objectives; participate in client development efforts, including engaging clients regarding business issues and contributing to the redaction of proposals; mentoring junior team members through structured feedback loops; coaching on technical oil and gas issues and highlighting area of improvements through constructive criticism approached; develop a junior leadership role in the office; developing points of view on topics related to oil and gas challenges; oversee supply chain innovation, portfolio management, cost optimization, and experience capitalization; and oversee internal and external knowledge sharing in technical forums and industry leadership platforms.


Positions are based in Houston, TX but requires international travel up to 50% of an average work week.



Basic Qualifications:

This position requires at least a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering (any), or in a closely related field plus 5 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience as a Business Consultant or Manager, or in a related IT position. This position also requires the following professional experience: 5 years of experience analyzing production performance, financial results, and key metrics; 4 years of experience advising clients in industrial environments, including production optimization, maintenance, and field operations; 4 years of experience in developing Digital Program Strategies including execution of the strategies; 4 years of experience in analyzing and recommending solutions in Cost Optimization; and 4 years of experience in analyzing and recommending solutions in Production Optimization.
