Application Development Manager – Houston, TX
Accenture LLP has multiple openings for the position of Application Development Manager in Houston, TX to design, build, assemble, configure applications of different size and complexity in SAP ECC, S/4 HANA and S/4 HANA Cloud adhering to SAP coding standards, functional specifications and by taking decisions to convert business requirements into technical designs and SAP technical deliverables. S/he will perform the following duties: review functional specifications with business and provide development estimates, development plan and technical Specifications; code deployment into production environment, Post Go-Live Hypercare Support to ensure the seamless adoption of new applications and systems and Maintenance; implement or maintain SAP software in ABAP, ABAP Objects using ADT (ABAP Development Tools), ABAP managed Data base procedures (AMDP), ABAP Workbench, ABAP Core Data Services (CDS), User Interface using SAP UI5 and Fiori along with Debugging Experience in ADT (ABAP Development tool) and New debugger; conduct performance tuning/Optimization by implementing ABAP CDS views, Parallel processing and background tasks; design and execute test scripts needed to validate requirements; conduct testing using ABAP Unit (xUnit adoption for the ABAP language), and ABAP test cockpit (ATC); lead the detailed technical designs and SAP Code review exercise for SAP software Application development and SAP code to ensure they meets the business requirements and agreed upon development quality; lead SAP Application Development, integration and provide subject matter expert (SME) level support for SAP Developments on S/4 HANA (Reports, Interfaces, conversions, Enhancements, Forms and Workflows), SAP Portal developments using SAP UI5 and Fiori and SAP Process Integration (SAP PI), SAP cloud platform integration (SAP SCP) functionalities; evaluate critical issues and provide technical approach solutions for complex custom deliverables including within SAP Technical and Functional areas;; apply SAP techno-functional skillset to provide technical and operational feasibility support for functional areas including SAP Material Management, SAP Supply Chain, SAP Warehouse Mgt., SAP Sales and Distribution, SAP Procurement, SAP Logistics, SAP finance and controlling, SAP production planning; architect the development strategy for applications and components, Bake technology trends into solutions; partner with the testing team to ensure applications/components are fully functional; oversee and fix any defects or performance problems discovered during testing.
This positions requires international travel up to 80% of an average work week.
This position requires at least a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering (any), or in a closely related field, plus 5 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience as an SAP ABAP Developer, or in a related IT position. The applicant must also have the following professional experience: 5 years of experience in designing, building, assembling, configuring applications in SAP ECC (Enterprise Central Component) and deliver SAP technical design and development object; 5 years of experience building and overseeing the SAP development Methodology, to confirm that the SAP technical deliverables (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows) follow the Methodology starting with Functional Requirements Transition, building program logic, and testing the final custom deliverables; 5 years of experience in Manage Application programming standards and naming conventions to adhere to new/changing requirements and set the baselined development standards; 3 years of experience Utilizing OData API’S and SAP UI5/Fiori for front end stateless web application development; 3 years of experience in Application development in emerging technologies: S4 HANA ABAP, ABAP Managed Data Base Procedures (AMDP), and SAP Fiori; and 3 years of experience in Application development in emerging technologies: S4 HANA ABAP, ABAP Managed Data Base Procedures (AMDP), and SAP Fiori; and 2 years of experience utilizing Cloud platform Integration (CPI) in S4HANA integration, Cloud platform Integration for Data Services (CPI-DS) in SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) integration and Cloud Integration gateway (CIG) in Ariba Integration.
