Corporate Functions – Marketing + Communications
As part of this team, you’ll play a key role in helping Accenture execute its strategy. You’ll work with a diverse team of innovative marketing experts who focus on the following areas: global brand management and advertising; global events and sponsorships; internal communications; marketing research; media and industry analyst relations; corporate and financial communications; internet marketing; recruitment marketing; client-centric marketing; and industry, service line and geographic marketing campaigns.
YOUR ROLE: Northeast People Communications Lead
We are looking for an experienced people communications lead to join our growing North America People Experience & Northeast Market Unit (MU) Marketing + Communications (M+C) team. You’ll work closely with the MU M+C Lead and NA People communications lead providing strategic counsel, communications program planning and execution of priority people communications to the MU. You’ll be responsible for developing and driving an integrated MU communications plan that informs, engages, and inspires our MU people.
You’ll oversee development, production, promotion and measurement of groundbreaking communications strategies that drive MU business priorities and create a culture of equality and innovation. Working closely with our NA People Experience Producer and other Global / NA / MU key stakeholders you’ll produce ‘priority’ MU written and interactive content, using our new approach to internal communication, that helps curate a cohesive and engaging experience for our MU people.
You’ll be highly proactive with a flexible and collaborative work style to build credibility with a large network of stakeholders.
While there is never a typical day at Accenture, here is a list of responsibilities:
- Lead executive positioning for MU Lead, collaborating with MU M+C team and Media team to elevate their voice in the market.
- Shaping executive platforms, build the strategy and execute including social media, speaking and publications.
- Drive a strong storytelling/narrative approach across the MU to position leaders, programs and our people in a way that builds a concrete and lasting communications strategy for the business using a variety of formats, including interactive content, virtual experiences, message creation, messaging support, campaign strategy and execution and targeted email/portal article development.
- Ensure all MU people communications content supports the MU business priorities, leadership tone/style and MU narrative messaging as well as the MU Leads expectations around learning and engagement.
- Create concise MU communications messages and ensure best practice governance for production/content briefs.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders: MU Lead, HR, People Experience, Inclusion & Diversity and Corporate Citizenships Leads on MU engagement strategies and opportunities to include engagement messaging in people communications.
- Manage MU people communications editorial development process and deliver end-to-end engaging people experience content, ensuring our brand purpose values are properly reflected in all people communications touchpoints.
- Work closely with NA Strategic Initiatives - NA Portal Lead to create, develop out and deliver All Market Unit internal site updates. This includes on-going updates and webmaster management.
- Drive end-to-end production management and delivery our MU Experience Days – working closely with the MU M+C lead/team and our NA People Experience Producer.
- Work closely with the MU M+C Lead and other key Market Unit Leaders to coordinate communications needs outside the digest and experience day in support of our MU people engagement i.e., leadership announcements.
- Input into the development of MU M+C campaigns and originate content to fulfil ‘priority’ people Experience campaign requirements through the MU content pipeline.
- Work with NA Crisis Communications Lead to manage MU-related crisis communications as needed.
- Manage MU editorial people communications planning documents to ensure a smooth, consistent workflow and a clear editorial roadmap in partnership with the MU M+C Lead.
- Adhere to the highest editorial standards and ensure all content fulfils our legal and governance obligations, and meets our editorial guidelines.
- Manage budget, delivery timelines and manage additional stakeholder relationships such as creative resource as required.
- Evaluate success of MU communications through regular review of metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- Minimum 15 years of marketing and communications experience, preferably with Journalistic/publishing/research background
- Experience of working with senior stakeholders in a trusted advisor capacity
- Highly experienced in the development and production of written and interactive content
- Interactive savvy - social and web page + video and audio production content skill set
- Strong creative innovation skills and experience in measuring impact/metrics evaluation
- Strong project management capability and budget management.
- Excellent writer with end-to-end digital publishing skill set
- Needs to be a self-starter with an unflustered style and a highly collaborative nature
- Articulate with strong presence and ability to interact with all levels
- A driver with bags of energy and enthusiasm to get stuck in
- Needs to be able to take guidance and coaching, ask sensible clarification questions and present solutions
- Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian
