The Learning & Leadership Development Specialist will provide input into and implement training plan according to market demands, budget and business priorities and strategy.  You will build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts.  The Learning & Leadership Development Specialist maps existing learning assets, identify needs not met by current learning assets and develop and implement assets and programs designed to build the necessary skills (leveraging Accenture Learning as appropriate).  

Other responsibilities include:
  • Determines whether new learning assets should be built in-house or procured from external vendors
  • For vendor assets, assist with vendor relationship management and managing vendor performance
  • Assist in efforts to select and contract with external vendors when required (leveraging Accenture Learning and Procurement as appropriate)
  • Provide training delivery support in accordance with fiscal year budgets
  • Ensure training programs operate efficiently, meet compliance and attendance targets and provide a quality and effective learning experience
  • Implement communication plans to build awareness of opportunities to build skills, such as training, learning boards, certification programs, collaboration tools, etc.
  • Manage the lifecycle of learning assets, determining the need for maintenance and/or retirement
  • Coordinate AFS training courses in the Washington, DC Metro area, including:
    • Work with AFS business leads to understand learning needs and communicate AFS training process & procedures
    • Work with Accenture Learning Delivery teams to communicate AFS training strategy, request set-up of courses in myLearning, determine course tuition,  oversee other course logistics (e.g., creation of WBS elements & intercompany codes, management of Purchase Requisitions/Purchase Orders, handling room reservations & catering, timely payment of vendors, etc.)
  • Work with Accenture Learning Vendor Advisory team to determine vendor training solutions and ensure proper set-up of new vendors in myLearning
  • Assist with New Joiner Orientation (NJO) as needed to include I-9 processing and facilitation of NJO modules/topics
  • Produce training reports/metrics, including end of performance year E&C training completion reports and monthly/quarterly reports to AFS stakeholders (e.g., Monthly Business Review, quarterly metrics for Enterprise Risk Management, and reports to individual business leads)
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries in the AFS.Training Mailbox; Assist with transition of employee inquiries to AFS.Help in FY20
  • Update content on the AFS Training Gateway, with an eye toward continuously improving format and delivery of information
  • Grant AFS resources access to the Salesforce Partner Community
  • Assist other AFS Learning team members as workloads require

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3 years of Human Resources/Training experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneNote, Teams, and/or OneDrive

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Human Resources/Training experience at Accenture or at a similar organization
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve problems
  • Ability to analyze data, develop metrics and make recommendations for action to achieve business results
  • Business acumen, executive presence and excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to:
    • Influence and build relationships with employees at all levels
    • Communicate in front of medium to large groups (e.g., training classes, New Joiner Orientation, employee meetings at client site, etc.)
  • Ability to drive initiatives and lead projects with minimal direction
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment with the flexibility to shift priorities as needed
  • Strong commitment to first-time quality
  • Passion for continuous learning and developing our people using the latest learning research and trends
