Below is a list of the following responsibilities of the Cloud Management Lead:
  • Work on an enterprise cloud migration effort
  • Interact with business and application owners to identifying applications to migrate
  • Educate application owners on migration process and roles and responsibilities within the migration project, and answer questions about the process
  • Coordinate questionnaires distribution and application intake into migration planning process, confirm application contacts
  • Follow up with application teams to resolve discrepancies or gaps
  • Schedule and conduct reviews with application owners and architects to schedule workloads, select appropriate technical migration approaches based on identified migration patterns, identify other dependent workloads to include in the same migration event
  • Manage bundling and wave planning of applications identified as “cloud ready”
  • Manage process to track, review and approve requested updates to the agreed migration schedule
  • Track completion of migration activities and follow-up with owners of overdue activities, escalating to management as necessary
  • Finalize the detailed cutover timeline and resourcing
  • Define migration readiness criteria and conduct go/no-go reviews
  • Provide oversight of migration cutover events, triaging and resolving issues, following up on overdue activities, and making decisions to roll back or fall forward

Qualifications

Basic Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or 9 years of relevant work experience
  • 7 years of general IT experience
  • 5 years of work experience leading the execution of migration tasks and resolving issues
  • 3 years of fundamental knowledge of Cloud including Infrastructure as a Service, public and private cloud solutions
  • US Citizenship - No Dual Citizenship
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure and other relevant technologies.
  • 3 years experience managing the application assessment and migration pipeline

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
