People in the Security and Intelligence Directorate maintain strict adherence to government compliance standards to protect the assets entrusted to us by our clients, as well as internally for our company through the industrial and information security departments.  Additionally, S&ID provides expertise in the areas of Client Data Protection and Corporate Facility Security for our clients.


The position of Government Facility Security and Access Control Specialist must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA’s) to assist, under supervision, in the overall management of a multi-level corporate facility (approx. 40, 000 sq. ft.) in all areas of security operations.  Additionally, the person must be able to perform all corporate security functions, and carry out tasks during daily operations, in the absence of the site security lead.  


Responsibilities Include:
  • Direct supervision and leadership guidance to a vendor-based security team of two access control officers, and one rotating security guard of a six-man guard team
  • Write Special Operating Procedures (SOP’s), and processes for Access control and security operations
  • May need to coordinate with outside vendors (cleaning teams, and security system vendors)
  • May assist employees, contractors, and visitors by answering general security questions, or directing them to the appropriate source to best support the success of their visit security requirements

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship required

  • 4-6 years physical security experience

  • 2-3 years experience working in SoftwareHouse Ccure 9000, American Dynamics and Victor software

  • Strong user level in Microsoft Office Suite to includeWord, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Project, Visio

  • Ability to work early mornings  and after hours, as needed

  • Ability to travel 30% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3 years experience in manager level industrial security

  • 3 years experience writing operational plans and special operating procedures

  • 3 years experience managing a security guard team at the planning and operational level

  • 1-2 years experience in network infrastructure and protocols (IP address/ MAC address/ VLAN/ Firewall rules)

  • Ability to review and implement process improvements for more efficiency in overall product delivery and successful task completion

  • Ability to provide leadership and direction in matters related to facility security operations

  • Ability to make sound decisions based on information and knowledge of policies

  • Experience conducting risk assessments for security sites and making recommendations to Corporate Level Facility Security Officers

  • Ability to assess work priorities and adjust tasks to achieve the best result for success

  • Ability to build daily reports and metrics for routine compliance inspections

  • Project Management Experience (Multiple projects at the same time)

  • Experience creating and managing budgets

  • Familiar with industry standard security door, lock, and key systems

  • Be able to develop and manage contract relationships with external service providers (vendors)

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
