Your entrepreneurial attitude helps you lead a team to achieve breakthrough results in this new age of intelligence. You are confident working on design algorithms and large-scale statistical models. You want to help federal agencies transform data from dark to dynamic. 

 

The work:    

  • Design, maintain, and repair databases for a complex development program 
  • Design and develop strategies 
  • Monitor and improve database performance and capacity, data recovery, plan for expansion and conversion 
  • Coordinate and implement security measures  
  • Release database changes and submitted by the development team and general administrator support 



Qualifications

Here's what you need: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a computer related field (in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, an additional 6 years of relevant experience, as delineated in this labor category, can be substituted)
  • 4 years of experience as a Database Administrator, monitoring, administrating, and implementing performance tuning on database systems as well as experience in database performance optimization, developing/changing database indices, redesigning database structure and reloading data into a database
  • 4 years of experience with logical design, requirement definition, and data administration
  • 2 years in-depth experience with implementing enterprise applications
  • 2 years of experience in relevant application database design, development, implementation, test and documentation
Bonus points if: 
  •  You’ve worked with PeopleSoft™ database design and administration or equivalent, and analysis/tuning of databases for PeopleSoft™ applications 
  • You keep up with current database releases 
  • You know how to document processes You have Certified PeopleSoft™ training (including at a minimum the following two classes:  Database Administration class for Oracle or equivalent, PeopleSoft™ Server Administration & Installation) 
  • You have experience with UNIXShell scripting, and/or Procedural language (PL/SQL)
