The North America Regional Learning Delivery Event Associate Manager:
  • Supplies corporate learning event delivery services to a global commercial client with specific focus on the North American region.
  • Acts as a “Site Captain” and single point of contact between Learning Services teams, event venue and client learning program teams to advise on space recommendations, risks and considerations.
  • Identifies key success indicators for priority learning event execution. Implements and monitors tracking mechanisms to help evidence event success and effectiveness of delivery.
  • Manages planning processes for learning events, including approvals, budgeted vs. actual spend, calendars, logistics, attendee registrations, etc.
  • Recommends solutions to process failings from a local perspective and contributes to the continuous improvement process in partnership with the regional functional leads on a global scale.
  • Establishes and manages relationships with local contacts and 3rd parties.
  • Manages end-to-end event plans for learning programs as well as large scale conferences across North America.
  • Oversees and schedules Onsite Support teams to ensure sessions are executed as requested, with consistency and quality.
  • Coordinates logistics across 3rd party learning event production suppliers, facilities, catering, technology, facilitation, and intellectual property vendors.
  • Conducts pre, during-, and post- event briefings with the learning event teams and 3rd party event production vendors to assess delivery accuracy and areas for continuous improvement.
  • Travels regionally and potentially internationally on an as-needed basis to provide additional onsite support and/or oversight for high priority learning event launches (approx.10% annually).
  • Becomes a deep localized expert, that is able to weigh tradeoffs and make recommendations regarding learning event deliveries based on multiple data inputs, including information such as volume of requests, competing priorities, local holidays, etc.
  • Prepares and distributes event logistics details to Facilitators and 3rd party event production vendors, including information such as recommended local hotels, parking, information about the venue, etc.
  • Serves as escalation point to resolve issues related to learning event execution.
  • Works with learning program teams to evolve and consistently improve operations while driving toward an excellent customer experience.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 6 years' Corporate Events or Learning Delivery Management experience
  • Minimum 4 years' client facing in a corporate environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing Leadership oriented events
  • Prior team management and project management experience
  • Relevant certifications CMP, CMM, SMMC, GTP

Professional Skills Requirements:

  • Prior exposure working on high visibility client events
  • Experience managing small to mid-size teams
  • Executive presence, strong attention to detail, forward thinking, resourcefulness and strong communication skills are crucial
  • Ability to be nimble and flexible with the ability to implement contingency planning as needed
  • Experience managing toward key learning event launch dates
  • Anticipate some weekend or after hours contact depending on the urgency of request time sensitivity of response
  • Demonstrated leadership, teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting
