Job Description
The Mac Workstation Engineer will be responsible for contributing to and supporting internal engineering efforts aimed at advancing the state of Accenture’s Mac workstation fleet.  This will include the design and implementation of scalable systems, processes and practices for managing Mac workstations across the Enterprise, as well as collaborating across internal IT teams and with vendors to achieve strategy, security and design goals.
 This role will be responsible for the following:
  • Develop and support implementation of procedures to ensure technologies are deployed and maintained consistently across the enterprise.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain macOS standards using the Jamf Pro software suite
  • Develop schedules and deployment plans for major software updates
  • Evaluation of hardware and software environment to determine deployment, patching and configuration strategies
  • Build partnerships with key stakeholders ensuring design and use of programs and services are compliant with current requirements
  • Document procedures and processes for supporting enterprise management of Mac workstations
  • Work closely with third-party vendors conducting troubleshooting or providing platform or product feedback
  • Provide Tier IV escalation support for the configuration, installation, and maintenance of macOS 
  • Supporting Accenture global security initiatives pertaining to macOS
  • Supporting the macOS lifecycle
  • Acting as a SME and resource for projects associated with Accenture’s Mac workstation fleet
  • Assisting Workstation Engineering & Operations teams in other workstation tasks

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience using & supporting Mac operating systems
  • Minimum 2 years of experience using the Jamf Pro MDM software suite
  • Minimum 1 year of experience using any of the following script languages or tools: Bash, Ruby, Perl, Swift or XCode
 
Professional Skills:
  • Strong service support orientation.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a constantly changing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Adept at reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to conduct research into hardware and software issues and products as required.
  • Ability to present ideas and solutions in non-technical, user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Skilled at working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Fluent English, written and spoken
 
Technical Skills:
  • Database management and troubleshooting experience (MySQL, myISAM, InnoDB)
  • Knowledge of Apple Business Manager and Volume Purchase Program
  • Understanding of Mobile Device Management
  • Familiarity with workstation security principles
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes and learn new skills
  • Ability to think creatively and foster innovation
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • A self-motivated individual
  • Inter-cultural awareness (principles behind working in a geographically dispersed environment across time zones and cultures).
 
Professional Accreditations:
  • ITIL foundation level qualification desirable but not essential
  • Apple Mac ACMT Certification desirable but not essential
