Position Title: 

Automation Control Specialist (Multiple Positions)

Responsibilities: 

Automation Control Specialist (Multiple Positions)  (Accenture LLP; Houston, TX): Possess basic understanding of the plant process in the Chemical, Oil & Gas industry, and basic unit operations to assist with the conceptual design of strategies for process control modifications and plant expansions. Implement code, execute system simulation, conduct operator training, and perform commissioning support. Configure control systems on Oil & Gas projects. Provide engineering and technology consulting with department, business development team, and proposals team. Understand other aspects of automation, including electrical design, instrumentation design, and industrial IT. Configure various automation systems (such as process control systems, safety instrumented systems, and fire and gas systems), including development code, ability to specify hardware, and develop/modify graphics. Lead or assist in developing standards, procedures, training manuals, and other documentation for projects or internal use. Plan and execute system specification, design, architecture, and development. Promote and enforce standards, methods, and procedures to be used in the development and implementation of control system design, PLC/DCS programs, HMI configuration, communications, network & server system design, and industrial IT. Promote and enforce an engineering review process to ensure that established procedures are followed, and to facilitate inter-office collaboration on projects, including: project documentation, automation narratives, and operations manuals. Assist and/or lead initiatives to obtain organization certifications with CSIA, ISO, and other industry-recognized QA/QC quality programs. Create and develop drawings based on input from designers or engineers.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related field, plus 3 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the operational technology consulting industry.  


ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Of the required experience, 3 years of experience must be in each of the following: automation department, systems integration, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES); OSIsoft PI Historian and Wonderware ArchestrA Historian; Rockwell ControlLogix PLC & FactoryTalk View ME programming; GE Fanuc PLC & Quick Panel programming; SIMATIC PLC Control System; and Microsoft Azure and Microsoft SQL Server. Of the required experience, 2 years of experience must be in each of the following: Coding VBA and SharePoint.


Must have willingness and ability to travel domestically approximately 80% of the time to meet client needs.
