Job Description:

Working as part of the global Accenture Technology Marketing & Communications team, this position is responsible for working across Accenture Technology’s major platforms and business areas and our Technology Analyst Relations lead to drive the marketing and communications activities related to our Industry Analyst relations content program for Accenture Technology.  This role serves as our Industry analyst relations content lead and will:

  • Lead the content for industry analyst activities for Accenture Technology’s platforms and business areas such as the SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, Salesforce and Workday platforms and testing, application outsourcing, DevOps/Agile, cloud and automation (including RPA, AI) business areas. Manage overall messages, proof points and client references coordinating with various business and marketing owners. Maintain repository of responses, published reports and reprints and client references. Monitor analyst publications, Accenture’s competitive positioning and Accenture’s competitors’ messaging.
  • Research and writing: Lead Accenture’s responses to industry analyst inquires (written RFIs, oral briefings and client references). Written responses and briefings often require interviewing SMEs and writing original answers. Develop internal and external client success stories and facts/figures to quantify client and Accenture’s success and market leadership. Manage response timeline and serve as master editor. Occasionally manage sponsored research programs with industry analyst organizations (research for hire to use in Accenture marketing programs).
  • Executive communications: Prepare spokespeople for briefings. Host prep calls, develop key messages, talking points, slides and support demonstrations.
  • Marketing strategy: Understand Accenture Technology’s marketing strategy, business vision, offerings, proprietary assets, physical location and ecosystem partnerships. Ensure that we are positioning the right way to industry analysts and influencers.
  • Analyst events: Shape and execute analyst events for Accenture Technology (for example, European analyst day; Bangalore Innovation Hub tour) as well as virtual web briefings.

Marketing leadership expectations

  • Disrupt old ways of communicating by continually challenging our marketing team, agencies and business leaders to be at the forefront of Accenture’s visual and verbal brand style.
  • Collaborate with and rally marketing colleagues across our five businesses and geographic units to rollout programs and strategies across the company.
  • Be the standards bearer for strategic, accurate, consistent marketing messages across channels and programs.
  • Willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and provide tactical execution on marketing campaigns, events, asset development, etc. (not just managing, but doing).
  • Willingness to be an “in the scrum” team player who can switch gears to be responsive to the business, based on the priority of the day, week or month.

Role Requirements:

  • Role is expected to flex regularly between working out of Accenture office location, and working in a global, virtual environment.
  • Personal flexibility to travel where and when required, and to participate in virtual meetings outside of regular business hours to connect with business leaders in other time zones.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, in marketing & communications, journalism or related. Technology industry marketing experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 years’ experience in marketing and communications, preferably with some experience in the technology industry
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in applying marketing concepts; branding and message development skills.
  • Previous executive communications experience highly desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement and measure multi-faceted marketing plans and programs. 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop content, including synthesizing complex technology topics and writing new pieces.
  • Excellent Digital, Social Media and PowerPoint skills.
Professional Skills:
  • Proven ability to provide deep and original thinking about complex issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to turn complex ideas into stories and visual concepts easily understood by a broad audience.
  • Executive presence, and a strong knowledge of the technology industry and landscape.
