As a Senior Drupal Developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing new features and functionality, establishing and guiding the website’s architecture, ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS. In addition, leading development of both frontend and backend CMS components.

The key job responsibility to provide technical expertise to create CMS components. Additional responsibilities include:
- Designs CMS components and create technical approaches
- Proactively communicate status to project managers and leadership and identifies risks
- Provides mentorship and direction to development team members
- Execute DevOps processes and software builds
- Defines and implements migration approach from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8
- Discuss, at least at a high level, Drupal best practices and patterns
- Receive high level expectation from a Sr. Dev on what needs to be accomplished and then take those requirements an implement them
- Look at at others’ code and recognizing whether there are any significant areas of concern

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years strong experience in writing modules for Drupal 7, but prefer experience with Drupal 8
  • Minimum 2 years of experience developing web applications using Drupal
  • Minimum 2 years of PHP Development experience
  • Minimum 1 year developing in a local development environment

Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Experience with Front-end frameworks and libraries (i.e. Angular+, JQuery) 
  • Experience with responsive web design (e.g. bootstrap, material design, zurb foundation, etc.) 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Technical Science
  • Experience dynamic stylesheet languages (e.g. SASS, LESS) 
  • Experience with Agile (SCRUM, Kanban), Standard SDLC, CMMI compliant projects 
  • Previous consulting/contracting experience 
  • Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian
  • Minimum 2 years of experience using SVN
  • A user profile that shows some type of involvement with the community
An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
