The Scrum Master plays a critical role in enforcing agile processes, monitoring their application, and leading scrum meetings, while increasing the team's efficiency by motivating the scrum team to ensure quality and timeliness. The Scrum Master must demonstrate a strong ability to manage the development team to ensure the customer's committed priorities for the sprint are on schedule, while effectively communicating risks and progress to the Scrum Product Owners. A Scrum Master is expected to ensure the team lives agile values and principles but is also responsible for clearing development and testing obstacles, understanding technical debt and how to prevent debt from occurring in future sprints. This role enables an effective team, addressing and working with scrum team dynamics, establishing a trusted relationship with several team Agile Product Owners and the development team.
Basic Qualifications: 
  • 2 years of experience with agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban , XP, etc.
  • Ability to coach the team how to follow agile scrum standards
  • Understand the basic fundamentals of iterative and incremental development
  • Basic knowledge of software development processes and procedures to understand their team needs
  • Understands the commitment(s) to deliver the product on time
  • Knowledge about tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories etc.
  • Familiarity with common development practices, Service oriented environments, and Agile practices
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Experience using PeopleSoft
  • Experience using JIRA
  • Experience in SAFe methodology
An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
