Industry Solutions and Services professionals play a wide variety of roles related to delivery and sales, maintaining and growing an industry focus.

 

Resources Industry Applications professionals analyze, design, build, test and deploy innovative Resources industry-specific solutions for Utilities clients - that enable industry standards and processes.

 

A professional at this level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:

  • Adapts existing methods and procedures to create possible alternative solutions to moderately complex problems.
  • Understands the strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to team goals. Uses considerable judgment to determine solution and seeks guidance on complex problems. Primary upward interaction is with direct supervisor. Interacts with peers and/or management levels at a client and within Accenture.  
  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments with guidance.
  • Decisions often impact the team in which they reside
  • Manages small teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture.

 

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Two or more years’ experience consulting to electric and gas utilities or related industries (e.g. water, oil, energy services)

Ability to meet travel requirements, Monday through Thursday at client locations

 

Professional Qualifications:

Intellectual curiosity and ability to learn and apply consulting approaches, methods and related subject matter

Possess an agile work style, able to change approach/direction as needed to meet client and project objectives

Be comfortable functioning in a client work environment that may have evolving/ambiguous requirements/tasks.

Ability to:

o   Collect and analyze data, conduct interviews, surveys, and research, review client and external documentation (e.g., regulatory filings) to support formulation of accurate findings, insights and recommendations for client work products.

o   Be a high performing team member, collaborating with colleagues to achieve project goals

o   Complete high-quality work products on schedule and within budget

·       Proficient in using Microsoft office product suite (Excel, PPT, Visio, SharePoint/Teams) to         conduct analysis, design processes, create briefings and reports and similar work products


Preferred Skills

MBA or Masters in Related Field (e.g., Engineering, Analytics)

Able to contribute to development of creative approaches to solve problems and create opportunities

Demonstrated communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of innovative consulting methods such as Design Thinking, to drive creative thought

Ability to quickly learn client operations and develop trusted working relationships with clients

Demonstrated leadership skills and desire to progress into roles with increasing levels of responsibility
