Primary responsibility is to lead a stand-alone AFS Internal Audit team. 
  • Reports to the AFS CAE
  • Responsible for assisting the CAE in developing comprehensive risk assessments for AFS’s business and establishing annual audit plan targeting areas of greatest risk/exposure
  • Responsible for planning, conducting, and reporting on US Federal Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Business System audits, GAAP audits, SOX audits, and operational audits per the annual plan
  • Will assist the CAE in the process for content development for AFS Audit Committee meetings

Basic Qualifications:
  • 7+ years Manager level experience within an audit function 
  • 5+ years of recent experience supporting US Federal business
  • DCAA experience preferable
  • Big 4 audit experience preferable
Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • CPA Preferred
  • Certified Internal Auditor a plus
  • Deep knowledge of US Federal business
  • Must have strong finance skills and understanding of US GAAP
  • Must have understanding of GAAS (Generally Accepted Auditing Standards) based on the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards
  • Must have strong leadership skills
  • Must be able to operate independently
An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
