Job Description

Industry Applications-FS professionals design, implement and deploy packaged software solutions that have been developed to accommodate unique FINANCIAL SERVICES industry business and management processes, regulatory requirements and other business needs.

 

A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:
Identifies, assesses and solves complex business problems for area of responsibility, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Closely follows the strategic direction set by senior management when establishing near term goals.
Interacts with senior management at a client and/or within Accenture on matters where they may need to gain acceptance on an alternate approach.
Has some latitude in decision-making. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
Decisions have a major day to day impact on area of responsibility
Manages large - medium sized teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

Ownership of the development effort of the DCT Policy solution throughout the delivery cycle, from planning through maintenance. This includes oversight and review of technical designs that meet the client’s business requirements, driving the direction of development and configuration of components as they integrate with other parts of the software and third-party/downstream systems, support of defect fixes throughout the test phases, and support of implementation and maintenance activities.
Responsibilities will also include planning and estimating activities for each phase, managing work effort across teams in multiple locations, and sharing of detailed status – including escalation and resolution of issues.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years related industry experience in system development and implementation

Required Qualification:

  • Minimum of 5 years of software industry experience (development, product customization or Pre-Sales experience or combination)
  • Extensive hands on experience with C#, SQL, Visual Studio, Microsoft Foundation technologies, Windows Server 2003/2008 , JavaScript, XPath, XSLT, JQuery, XML, HTML, CSS, AJAX
  • Experience/knowledge of P&C Insurance software applications, especially Duck Creek Policy
  • Experience/knowledge of software development life cycle for P&C insurance software
  • Experience with .Net Solutions and SQL and relational database design
  • Experience with systems integration (Policy, Billing, Claims, Reinsurance, third-party systems)
  • Persuasive communication skills capabilities
  • Ability to lead/manage delivery teams.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
