Job Description
Insurance Processes professionals enable the processes involved in supporting the insurance industry including property and casualty insurers, life insurers, health insurers, and reinsurers. As an Insurance Consultant, you will be working on a team to shape and deliver projects aimed to address a client's strategic business challenges in the P&C insurance policy administration space.
 
A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:

  • Participate in all phases of SDLC from requirements/scoping through deployment. Build expertise in key technical, functional and professional skills.
  • Plan and coordinate own/team's activities (if in a supervisory role) to meet deliverable commitments and quality expectations. Implement better and/or innovative ways to meet goals or overcome obstacles.
  • Maintain a high level of Client focus within the team.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members (Client and Accenture) from different disciplines and backgrounds.
  • Keep management informed and involved as issues develop.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 
  • 3+ years of work experience with basic knowledge of insurance products and processes
  • 3+ years of experience in Software Development Lifecycle 
  • 2+ years of experience with P&C insurance policy administration
  • Guidewire PolicyCenter
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Finance, Economics, Business, Computer Science/MIS or Engineering)
  • Ability to travel 80% to 100%
Preferred Skills:
  • P&C insurance billing functions and processes/workflows
  • P&C insurance billing systems
  • Working knowledge of P&C insurance billing software and systems
  • P&C insurance billing operating model development
  • Experience with AWS, MS Azure, Google or other Cloud Platform
Professional Skill Requirements:
 
Experience with:
  • P&C insurance billing functions and processes/workflows
  • P&C insurance billing systems
  • Working knowledge of P&C insurance billing software and systems
  • P&C insurance billing operating model development  Functional: Working closely with Clients to define and document requirements.  Create functional design documents.
  • Technical: 2+ years of experience with C#, SQL, Visual Studio, Microsoft Foundation technologies, Windows Server 2003/2008 administration and configuration, JavaScript, XML, XSLT, HTML, CSS, AJAX
  • Consulting experience
  • Exposure to and / or experience in billing functions for P&C operations (e.g., direct bill, agency bill, payment processing, disbursements, agent commission)
  • Full understanding of the billing life-cycle from premium issuance and scheduling to earned premium collection and write-off.
  • Demonstrated experience in one or several of the following: Personal Lines, Small Commercial Lines, Large Specialty, Domestic Companies and/or Multi-national companies.
