The Federal Financial Senior Analyst will serve as a member of the Functional Team and will support the client's audit readiness goals through a variety of workstreams. The team member will be required to gain a working knowledge of finance business processes, internal controls, and financial management systems in support of our clients' efforts to produce auditable financial statements.

On a daily basis, Federal Financial Senior Analyst will be expected to:
  • Provide recommendations to improve the financial management infrastructure and environment
  • Interact with the client and users around specific work efforts and deliverables
  • Be able to understand the client's financial operations for specific business processes
  • Document and map business processes and internal control
  • Develop test plans to test the accountability and effectiveness of controls within various business segments
  • Document findings and recommendations to remediate finance and accounting issues
  • Assist the Functional Team and client on Asset Management Assessments and Inspections
  • Develop ways to improve audit response time and accuracy across the Force
  • Run and operate communications both internally with Functional Team and with the client

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in one of more of the following capabilities: financial management; process design/re-engineering; audit/internal control testing; financial reporting
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with MS Office applications (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • US Citizenship Required
Preferred Skills:

  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
  • Knowledge of Federal Accounting concepts and requirements
  • Existence and Completeness (E&C) of assets, materials or inventory
  • Financial/Accounting aspects of acquisition, understanding of Navy acquisition processes and financial impacts
  • Systems mapping knowledge, understanding data flows as they apply to financial systems
  • One or more of the following systems: ERP Core Financial modules; Microsoft Access; Visual Basic for Applications; DoD procurement and payment systems; SharePoint
  • Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian
  • Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • CPA, CGFM, or CDFM are a plus
  • Understanding of the DoD's financial environment and operations
  • Federal Government Accounting and/or Auditing experience
  • Federal Consulting Experience
An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
