Job Description

Industry Applications-RESOURCES professionals design, architect (and ideally integrate) custom, transformation solutionto accommodate unique industry business and management processes, regulatory requirements and other business needs for the utility industry.

Resources Industry Applications professionals analyze, design, build, test and deploy innovative Resources industry-specific solutions -- including solutions for the Utilities industries -- that enable industry standards and processes.

A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:
Identifies, assesses and solves complex business problems for area of responsibility, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Closely follows the strategic direction set by senior management when establishing near term goals.
Interacts with senior management at a client and/or within Accenture on matters where they may need to gain acceptance on an alternate approach.
Has some latitude in decision-making. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
Decisions have a major day to day impact on area of responsibility
Manages large - medium sized teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience designing technical solutions for utility industry
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience integrating technical solutions for utility industry 
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with middleware solutions (e.g., WebSphere, Mulesoft, TIBCO)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with utilities systems (e.g., Head End, Meter Data Management, Outage Management, Meter and Network Asset Management, Data Warehouse, Customer Billing, Customer Portal, DERMS or related)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in utility industry (Smart Grid, Advanced Metering, or related)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Preferred experience with cloud, IoT and DA
  • Preferred experience with industry standards for systems integrations such as: Multispeak, MDUS, IEC CIM, file-based: ETL, messaging (JMS, MQ, SOA, RESTful, API), etc.

  • Ability to travel 100% (typical travel is Monday-Thursday) at client location
