IT Operations professionals support infrastructure operations and/or manage delivery for IT production systems and services based on operational requirements and service agreements.
 
The Operations Delivery Admin will perform installs, configure, tune and support WebSphere and other middleware components.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setup load balancing, clustering, and failover
  • Develop automation tools for password management, monitoring, configuration and deployment.
  • Assist application and testing teams
  • Work with vendor support to assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues (open service requests and follow up with vendor support)
  • Develop support documentation and train team members
  • Ability to analyze performance and capacity reports and recommend tuning opportunities

 

Role Requirements:

  • Required to be on call to support staff in case of issues (On-call schedule TBD)
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of Websphere and IIS support, Knowledge of Message Queue Manager, IBM DataPower, or Message Broker

Preferred Skills:
  • UNIX/Linux Web servers
  • ETL Reporting
  • IBM Security Access Manager
  • Oracle Access Manager
  • Scripting (Perl, Python)
 
Professional Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skill
