Job Description

 

Professionals in our corporate functions run and manage Accenture's internal operations and all activities across our business, from finance, HR and legal to workplace management, operations and marketing and communications. They are the engine that powers Accenture, enabling us to provide the capabilities and expertise that clients need to help them become high-performance businesses.

 

Finance professionals shape and execute client deals to maximize the use of Accenture’s capital and resources, manage cash and/or liaise with the investor community.

 

The Global Tax Accounting Team is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the income tax balances reported in Accenture’s global consolidated financial statements. The Tax Accounting Intern will work under the direction of a Tax Accounting Senior Manager and will assist with various aspects of global income tax accounting, including preparation and review of local country income tax provisions, assisting in the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidation workpapers, testing and maintaining software applications used by the Tax Accounting Team, as well as special projects. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing true-up calculations for calendar year entities, preparing quarterly and annual consolidation workpapers
  • Software implementation, testing, and validations for both the Income Tax Reserve and Tax Provision systems 
  • Working collaboratively with internal finance teams, including local country controllership and local tax leads, to validate and modify year-to-date accounting journal entries, and to prepare training to be implemented by the Tax Accounting team
  • Assisting with other computations or research as needed

Basic Qualifications

  • Current Student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, in Accounting, Finance, OR other Business-related major, with at least 6 Accounting credit hours, and a graduation date between December 2018 and August 2019
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel), advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.2

Job Requirements

  • Paid internships last 10 – 12 weeks and typically begin in late-May/early June and end in early/mid-August.
