Software Engineering professionals work across the Service Delivery Lifecycle to analyze, design, build, test, implement and/or maintain multiple system components or applications for Accenture or our clients.

The Application Development Specialist develops and designs technologies that improve the way our clients and the world works. Supporting the core of Accenture's Technology business, they are eager to learn and use that curiosity to solve Technology problems through developing, designing, and configuring software products or systems that enable client strategies. They use their versatility and experience to design technology solutions that meet client requirements from analysis to implementation.


Job Description

Testing professionals utilize Accenture delivery assets to plan and implement testing and quality assurance initiatives to ensure solution quality before deployment.

Test Automation professionals provide specialized expertise in test automation using commercially available functional test tools. Apply Accenture´s recommended test automation framework and best practices.

A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:
Adapts existing methods and procedures to create possible alternative solutions to moderately complex problems.
Understands the strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to team goals.
Uses considerable judgment to determine solution and seeks guidance on complex problems.
Primary upward interaction is with direct supervisor. May interact with peers and/or management levels at a client and/or within Accenture.
Determines methods and procedures on new assignments with guidance.
Decisions often impact the team in which they reside.
Manages small teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Test Automation including planning, script development & maintenance
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with Agile Delivery
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in software development in an Agile environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in two or more of the following testing toolsets/frameworks: CA Application Test (DevTest), Ready!API, SoapUI, SoapUI Pro, Postman, other.  BDD: using Cucumber/Gherkin, Geb/Spock, other.
  • Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated experience with Groovy
  • Ability to meet travel requirement - Monday through Friday 100%
Preferred Skills:
  • Demonstrated understanding of application architectures
  • Demonstrated experience using TDD or BDD
  • Demonstrated experience with virtualization using CA Service Virtualization, Rational Integration Server, Parasoft Virtualize or SmartBear Ready!API
  • Demonstrated experience with Nexus, Artifactory, NPM, Bower or similar
  • Demonstrated experience with Continuous Integration, including two or more of the following build/deploy/version control tools:
    • Jenkins, Hudson, Bamboo, other (TeamCity)
    • SonarQube (code quality) – static analysis
    • Git, Mercurial, Subversion, Stash, Bitbucket, GitHub, GitLab
    • uBuild/uDeploy, UrbanCode, other
    • Grunt, Gradle, Gulp, Maven
    • MS TFS
