Accenture Federal Services is seeking a deep hands-on Senior Cloud Engineer to design and build out AWS GovCloud integrating with on-premise software defined data center.  This individual will also support the migration of applications into the hybrid Cloud Environment. 



The Cloud Engineer will perform the following:

  • Work closely with application architects and owners to gather system requirements.
  • Assist application teams in the migration of applications and data into the hybrid cloud

Conduct Performance Tuning and troubleshooting.

  • Create scripts and templates for automatic provisioning of resources.
  • Monitor consumption of cloud resources, request fulfillment turnaround, application performance, and systems security posture.
  • Develop processes and standards for optimal use of cloud service provider offerings.
  • Identify standard cloud services offerings.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Must possess either a Master’s Degree + 12 years’ experience / a Bachelor’s Degree + 14 years’ experience / or an Associates Degree + 16 years’ experience.
  • 7 years’ experience planning, installing, configuring, patching, and/or troubleshooting issues on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 & 7.
  • 5 years’ experience in advanced administration including performance tuning and troubleshooting in a very diverse and integrated environment to include virtual environments.
  • 3 years’ intermediate storage and network administration experience.
  • 2 years’ experience integrating with hybrid cloud.
  • 1 year experience with one or more scripting languages (e.g. JSON, JavaScript, Python, Perl, Powershell, Bash).
  • 2 years with Amazon Web Services tools and offerings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience deploying in AWS environment.

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
