Job Description Overview:
 
Responsible for leading the definition and design of solution architectures, conducting the analysis of alternative architectures, creating architectural standards, defining processes to ensure conformance to standards (Global IO Capability  & Architectures), instituting solution-testing criteria, defining a solution's cost-of-ownership, and promoting a clear and consistent business vision through technical architectures.  

Range of Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for providing infrastructure analysis and design services to existing and potential clients
  • Analyze and understand clients’ needs and expectations, as well as alternative architectures and trends
  • Conduct critical analysis of technology and associated operational processes, with a view to recommending designs & strategies that will improve service, lower costs, and prevent unforeseen operational issues
  • Ensure technical architectures and solutions represent sound directions for clients and anticipate the subsequent growth of the solutions. Articulate key aspects of architecture and design (e.g., scalability, availability, manageability, robustness, appropriate incorporation of new technology) through models, documentation, and code
  • Interview clients’ technical teams to gather relevant information to facilitate architectural requirements definitions
  • Drive the technical design of reference architectures and applications
    Present architectures to executive management, clients, and developer teams
  • Takes responsibility to lead design projects; interface with project managers/clients and coach ADM methods/design process
  • Review new projects; maintain a technology roadmap and propose technology solutions to service problems
  • Conduct technical feasibility analyses for projects
  • Establish, explain, and validate the solution testing criteria for projects
  • Provide support for sales and solution architects; assist in creating proposals, including solution alternatives and the identified cost of ownership for individual architectures
  • Design services in the area of technology solutions, operations architecture and Accenture standards
  • Transfer knowledge and support technical project staff during the implementation of a solution
  • In this position there will be the need & requirement  to coach fellow team members

 

Basic Qualifications:
 
• Minimum 8 years of experience on an enterprise operational run team or consulting in the technology fields
• Minimum 4 years infrastructure engineering or architecture experience
• Minimum 2 years leading an infrastructure engineering or architecture team

• Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
• Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment
• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
• Strong coaching and project management skills
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
• Demonstrated leadership experience
• ITIL Foundation Certification
• Red Hat or Oracle Linux
• Experience with Disaster Recovery planning and testing
