The IT Consolidation and Migration Planning Consultant will support the planning for an extensive network and data center consolidation across the client's enterprise.  The candidate's responsibilities will include helping the client and stakeholders understand the as-is IT infrastructure environment, develop and present recommendations on the to-be state, and socialize a detailed roadmap to migrate local network and data center infrastructure to an enterprise environment.  The candidate will be part of a team that assesses customer requirements, conducts application analysis, network / security dependency analysis, use case development, and prioritization of migration candidates.


Specific Duties will include:

  • Developing a Plan of Action & Milestones for network migrations to the client's enterprise environment.
  • Conducting analyses of infrastructure (hardware / software), and recommending infrastructure designs and strategies that will improve service, lower cost, and reduce vulnerabilities.
  • Interfacing with migration customers to validate network use cases, generate requirements and support overall migration activities


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (in Business, Information Management, or IT related field preferred).
  • Minimum 4 years client-facing consulting experience.
  • Minimum 2 year Enterprise IT infrastructure consolidation experience.
  • Minimum 1 year supporting Federal or DoD.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project).
  • Project Management Experience (PMP Certification is a plus).
  • Excellent business acumen.
  • Experience with developing Network migration and Data Center consolidation plans.
  • Experience with developing strategies to reduce IT costs.
  • Advanced knowledge of Network and Data Center Operations.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Proven track record of strong communication and collaboration skills (oral and written; good briefing skills).
  • Desire to add value to the client and Accenture above and beyond the role.

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
