Finance & Risk Operating Model professionals design the vision and strategy for Finance organizations considering governance, organization design, location, interaction model and enabling technology.

 

Oftentimes, this target state design includes the use of shared services, centers of excellence and outsourcing.

 

This professional has experience both developing the operating model target state as well implementing shared services and/or centers of excellence.

 

Finance & Risk professionals develop and deliver business solutions for Finance in Financial Services.

 

The Finance & Risk Operating Model Manager understands the current issues facing the finance organizations of financial services companies including cost to serve pressures and has experience with leading practice operating model design and implementation, including shared service models

 

Job Description

A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:
Identifies, assesses and solves complex business problems for area of responsibility, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Closely follows the strategic direction set by senior management when establishing near term goals.

Interacts with senior management at a client and/or within Accenture on matters where they may need to gain acceptance on an alternate approach.

Has some latitude in decision-making. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.

Decisions have a major day to day impact on area of responsibility.

Manages large - medium sized teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of prior Management Consulting experience focused on the Financial Services industry required. Experience must include:
    • Managing Operating Model projects, including Shared Services or Business Process Outsourcing, project management experience including: defining scope, setting project timelines and milestone, driving deliverables, identifying risks, managing issues, project economics and client relationship management)
    • Minimum 2 years of Financial Services industry experience
    • Minimum 3 years of experience across the Finance function within Financial Services
    • Experience leading a project team of least 3 resources
  • Bachelor's Degree

       

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA, CA, or M.B.A.
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate with clients, document requirements, lead key requirement workshops and articulate the value proposition and business case for relevant finance solutions
  • Strong competence in developing presentations required (MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel))
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), facilitation and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate senior client meetings and drive conversations at the executive level, including the ability to convey emerging trends, recommendations, and business value propositions
  • Demonstrated ability to manage dynamic consulting projects and strong project management skills (e.g., defining scope, setting project timelines and milestones, driving deliverables, identifying risks, and managing issues)
  • Demonstrated track record of delivery as part of a project team, including the ability to meet deadlines, overcome challenges, manage stakeholder expectations, and produce project deliverables
  • Ability to navigate unstructured processes and to manage multiple workstreams at the same time
  • Demonstrated team management and leadership skills; desire to lead and motivate teams in a dynamic and challenging environment
  • Strong analytics, problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to exercise mature judgment structured decision-making
  • Ability to work independently and manage dynamic consulting projects with heavy client engagement
  • Demonstrated ability to understand client needs, develop proposed solutions, and deliver high impact change initiatives
  • Highly motivated and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high energy and demanding team-oriented environment (both with clients and within the organization)
  • Demonstrated change management experience
  • Results-oriented, self-directed, inquisitive, and entrepreneurial
