Responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problem, and determines and implements solution. Writes training manuals. Trains computer users. Responds to email or chat messages for customers seeking help. Asks questions to determine nature of problem. Walks customers through problem-solving process. Runs diagnostic programs to resolve problems. Follows up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved. Gains feedback from customers about system usage. Runs reports to determine malfunctions that continue to occur.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Math, Business or other related field, OR at least 4 years of recent experiencein help desk or IT support.
    Must hold one of the following certifications (A+ CE, CCNA-Security, Network+ CE, SSCP)
  • Must be willing to work rotating schedules to include weekend and overnight work
  • Good oral and written communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Hands on recent use and knowledge of specific products and related technologies:

  • Exposure to intelligence community or DoD analysis experience.
  • Experience or understanding of IT systems infrastructure and applications.
  • Experience working in a 24x7 service desk environment.
  • Experience with BMC Remedy, Oracle Siebel, or other IT Service Management tool.

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
