People in our Client & Market career track drive profitable growth by developing market-relevant insights to increase market share or create new markets. They progress through required promotion into market-facing roles that have a direct impact on sales.
Business & Systems Integration professionals analyze, design and/or develop best practice business changes through technology solutions.
Working closely with our clients, Consulting professionals design, build and implement strategies that can help enhance business performance. They develop specialized expertise—strategic, industry, functional, technical—in a diverse project environment that offers multiple opportunities for career growth. While the specific type of consulting work they do can vary, it generally aligns to management consulting, systems integration consulting or technology consulting. Typically, Consultants work at client sites, which often require travel.

Your Role

A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:
  • Identifies, assesses and solves complex business problems for area of responsibility, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
  • Closely follows the strategic direction set by senior management when establishing near term goals
  • Interacts with senior management at a client and/or within Accenture on matters where they may need to gain acceptance on an alternate approach
  • Has some latitude in decision-making
  • Acts independently to decide methods and procedures on new assignments
  • Decisions have a major day to day impact on area of responsibility
  • Manages large-to-medium sized teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture

Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Support and/or lead project teams engaged in the successful delivery of a wide range of Source to Pay projects and initiatives (e.g., Ariba OnDemand, Coupa OnDemand)
  • Design, implement, and deploy solutions to achieve defined business goals (technology solutions that utilize the methods and processes of modern corporate or institutional buying)
  • Advise upon, design, develop and/or deliver technology solutions that support best practice business changes
  • Work closely with clients on roadmap assessments, process re-engineering, software selection evaluations, procurement system implementations, reporting and analytics
  • Source to Pay application design, development, integration, testing and deployment
  • Advise clients on a wide range of Source to Pay solutions
  • Be a trusted advisor to senior executives and/or management on their business needs and issues
  • Identify and support business development initiatives, develop client proposals and RFP responses
  • Develop thought capital and disseminate information around current and emerging trends
  • Maintain Source to Pay skills in applications process design and configuration

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with:- Sourcing and Procurement business process/operations experience within the management consulting industry, preferably focused on Financial Services, including project lifecycle management, for various tools and technologies
  • Functional knowledge of the procurement Source to Pay lifecycle
  • Technical knowledge of Oracle, Ariba, Coupa and/or Fieldglass infrastructure and integration layers
  • Translating business requirements into Oracle, Ariba, Coupa and/or Fieldglass
  • Hands-on configuration experience of Oracle, Ariba, Coupa and/or Fieldglass, as well as understanding key integration points along the entire Source to Pay business process
  • Integration of Oracle, Ariba, Coupa and/or Fieldglass
  • All phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC): requirements definition/gathering, application design and development and functional testing
  • Process re-engineering
  • Source to Pay application technical architecture
  • Improving operational metrics, business case development and performance measurement
  • Hands-on experience with Ariba OnDemand or Coupa OnDemand
  • Experience leading a project and leading a project team of least 4 resources
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate with clients, document and understand Source to Pay requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to lead key requirement workshops with clients
  • Bachelor's Degree. Advanced Degree is desirable

  • Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with clients individually and as a member of an engagement team
  • Demonstrated team management and leadership skills (e.g., defining scope, setting project timelines and milestones, driving deliverables, identifying risks, and addressing issues)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead dynamic consulting projects with heavy client engagement
  • Demonstrated ability to understand client needs, develop proposed solutions and deliver high impact change initiatives
  • Consistent track record of sales and successful engagement delivery
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects/assignments/responsibilities in an exciting environment
  • Strong competence in developing presentations required (MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel))
  • Highly motivated and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high energy and demanding team-oriented environment (both with clients and within the organization)
  • Attested ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Desire to work in an information systems environment
  • Strong desire to work in management consulting industry and deep interest in the financial services industry
