No two days are the same. My day usually starts with a review of any new issues the team is facing. I chair a prioritization meeting with the various business functions and senior client leadership to ensure the priorities of the “Software Factory” align with those of the wider business. We also have a daily Scrum, ensuring all the resolver teams know exactly what they should work on that day and to resolve any blockers we see.
The people at Accenture are phenomenal. I have never been so lucky to work with such a diverse and talented group of people, both from a technical and professional point of view. During my internship, everyone on my team would happily go out of their way to help me with anything—be it a menial task such as logging expenses, to much more impactful and client-focused work.
The opportunities to work in a broad range of industries and technologies are also fantastic. You can try a little bit of everything before focusing on something that is meaningful for you.
As I work out of town, I tend to spend a lot of time with my project team. My off-work time involves sporting events such as swimming or a project squash ladder, and we meet for team meals around once a week. Our location is also right on the beach, so we’ve got some power kiting planned as well!
