2019 Highlights

In October 2019, leaders gathered at Harvard University for the 10th Annual Health and Human Services Summit: Purpose, Passion and Impact for the Future.

During the two-day event, participants celebrated progress to date in shifting from regulative to generative business models and discussed the important work still ahead to ensure equity in opportunity and outcomes.

Session highlights included a panel of constituents who shared their own lived experiences as clients of the human services systems in their states; a discussion of the “Benefits Cliff” and innovative approaches for ensuring that support programs truly enable sustainable outcomes; and a presentation on social and economic mobility and the redesign work needed to build an equitable and thriving future for all people.
