How Accenture Federal Services works with small, veteran, and minority-owned businesses

Strategic partnerships help small businesses compete more effectively for federal contracts, build credentials, and gain access to new clients.

The Accenture Federal Services (AFS) Small Business program builds collaborative long-term teaming relationships with small, veteran, and minority owned companies, to jointly deliver effective technology solutions to the Federal Government and help connect our small business partners with new opportunities.

Small businesses play a critical role in the performance of AFS contracts. In 2020, more than 20% of our government contracts were performed in conjunction with small business partners. Teaming helps small business fairly participate in government contracting opportunities which promotes values that we share, including economic equity, and greater opportunity for disadvantaged socio-economic groups.

Teaming can also help small business access more complex federal contracting opportunities, open doors to further business growth, establish new credentials and capabilities, and demonstrate value to government clients.

We encourage efficient and mutually beneficial partnership arrangements with our valued vendors and work with every category of small and minority-owned business partners, including the following, to help clients achieve mission delivery success:

  • Small businesses
  • Small, disadvantaged businesses
  • Veteran-owned small businesses
  • Service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses
  • Women-owned small businesses
  • HUBzone companies
  • Historically black colleges and universities
  • Alaska Native Corporations
  • Certified 8(a) businesses

The Accenture Federal Services Small Business Liaison Office was established to reimagine and advance small business program goals through:

Teaming with small and minority owned businesses who have the right mix of specialized skills, experience, and customer knowledge to deliver needed services to federal customers.

Using diverse teams to deliver solutions that comply with Federal Government contracting requirements and maintain superior contract delivery standards.

We work together with our small business partners to design, deliver and run the next generation of government today.

Digital government transformation

Building on government innovation, federal agencies are using agile processes, human-centered design, digital platforms, and smart analytics to create better customer experiences and drive improved performance. Our end-to-end digital government capabilities improve citizen services, organizational effectiveness, and mission capabilities.

Federal IT modernization

Federal IT modernization requires a partner that can bring commercial innovation together with mission experience to turn ideas into solutions that adapt and scale as the mission demands. AI, advanced digital platforms, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity supported by design thinking and agile methods, provide the foundation for what is next.

Transforming your data

More than 2.5 quintillion bytes of data are generated daily, but often–it’s siloed, unstructured and unusable. We help federal agencies unlock value from their data, improve visibility and performance, enhance decision-support, and deliver mission outcomes. It’s why we’re lighting the way towards a modern data foundation on cloud.

Cybersecurity Services

Our broad cybersecurity knowledge and deep industry expertise allow us to develop next-gen cybersecurity services to protect government from end to end, innovate safely, build cyber resilience, and adapt ahead of evolving threats.
